A. Third-Party Service Providers

We may share your information with third parties that perform services for us or on our behalf. Our third-party integrations include:

  • Supabase: For database hosting, authentication, and secure data storage.
  • AI Providers (via OpenRouter & Groq): We utilize various Large Language Models (including models from Qwen, Google, Anthropic, OpenAI, and Groq) to process video transcripts and generate summaries. Video transcripts and user inputs are sent to these providers exclusively for fulfilling your summary requests. Please note that some AI service providers may utilize the data sent to them to train their models, and we do not maintain control over their external training policies.
  • Analytics and Performance: We employ analytics tools, such as Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity, solely to understand broad usage patterns, diagnose technical issues, and improve the overall user experience. This data helps us ensure the platform remains fast and reliable.
  • Infrastructure Providers: We utilize Netlify to host our application and execute serverless functions, ensuring reliable and secure global delivery.
  • Communication Services: We may use established email service providers to deliver transactional emails, such as account verifications and critical updates.
  • Advertising Partners: We may partner with third-party advertising networks to display relevant advertisements on our Service. These partners may independently collect data as governed by their respective privacy policies.

Note regarding YouTube: YTDemia embeds YouTube players via the standard YouTube IFrame API. We do not download or store YouTube video files. If you are actively logged into your Google or YouTube account in your web browser, YouTube may store your viewing history of content played on our Service. Video playback is entirely subject to the YouTube Terms of Service and Google Privacy Policy.

B. By Law or to Protect Rights

If we believe the release of information about you is necessary to respond to legal process, to investigate or remedy potential violations of our policies, or to protect the rights, property, and safety of others, we may share your information as permitted or required by any applicable law, rule, or regulation.

5. Data Security and Storage

When you use the Service without an account, your data (courses, notes) is stored locally within your browser's IndexedDB. When authenticated, your account data is transmitted securely via HTTPS and stored in SOC 2 Type II compliant cloud databases managed by Supabase.

While we have taken reasonable steps to secure the personal information you provide to us, please be aware that despite our efforts, no security measures are perfect or impenetrable, and no method of data transmission can be guaranteed against any interception or other type of misuse.
