Hello! Itz MRZ, the solo dev and CS student building this platform.
Why I Built This
The idea for YTDemia was born out of everyday frustration. I spend countless hours watching educational YouTube videos, tutorials, and university lectures. But I kept hitting the same walls:
- Losing my place in long videos.
- Taking notes in a separate app.
- Getting distracted by the YouTube sidebar algorithm instead of actually learning.
I needed a distraction-free environment that treated YouTube not as an entertainment platform, but as the world's greatest classroom. Thus, YTDemia was created to solve my own everyday learning problems.
Overthinking the Future
As a student today, it is impossible not to overthink the future. The sudden explosion of AI tools has changed everything from how we study to what skills actually matter in the workplace. And to be honest a generous portion of coding behind this site was with help of AI (wink).
Instead of panicking, I decided to build with it. YTDemia integrates AI to act as a helpful assistant. Features like quick transcript summaries are designed to save you time, ensuring that the technology supports your educational journey without doing the actual learning for you.
